Between a lifetime of sarcasm, an issue with a primary school star chart and a family who show love through making fun of each other, I am entirely incapable of knowing how to react to when people do nice things for me. So when Hungry House got in contact to say they were choosing me for one of their Not Just Another Food Blogger Award 2015 I was pretty chuffed.
THe NJAFB awards are awarded to “the UK’s most-passionate bloggers who have brought something special to the food blogging table. Our NJAFB winners really get our juices flowing for gorgeous food, and their passion for great-tasting takeaway is mighty infectious.”
For someone who started a blog to write about what she had for tea, I feel a bit proud. Joking aside, I’m so pleased to be included on this list, just as I am when anyone comments on the blog, tweets to ask for advice, chats or makes suggestions of places to go. I wanted the blog to be a positive voice for how brilliant Birmingham is and I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate it when people join in with this conversation – whether it’s an award or a tweet.
I’m going to shut up and write about my dinner now.
